Week Five Answers: Cincinnati Bengals 31 Dallas Cowboys 22

Q: If QB Carson Palmer plays, will the Bengals be surprisingly effective against a surprising ineffective Dallas defense - 16th in rushing yards allowed and 25th in passing yards allowed over past three games?

A: Yes. But for the death knell ringing as RB Chris Perry fumbled following the onsides kick, the Bengals were poised to snatch this game from the Dallas Cowboys. Carson Palmer rebounded nicely relative to his first couple games of the season. 200+ yards and two TDs isn't classic Palmer and certainly not what anyone expected when he was drafted amongst the top six QBs this year, but it is an effort that will keep Palmer relevent in fantasy circles.

Q: Will RB Marion Barber III have his number called enough to compensate for not having it called enough last week?

A: Barber had 25 touches, his 2nd highest total of the young season, but they were largely insignificant. He didn't score nor did he rush for more than a 100 yards or total more than 100 overall.

Player To Trade: TE Jason Witten. He has established himself at a value equivalent to the top receptions WRs in the game i.e. T.J. Housmandzedah or Wes Welker. 6, 7, 7, 7, and 8 catches in the first five games makes him a borderline 2nd round value in PPR formats.
