2007 #1 WR Rankings

The Fake Teams 2007 Community #1 WR Rankings are available. The Bengals' Chad Johnson comes out on top. This is not a surprise because he has none of the falws those behind him do - age for Torry Holt and Marvin Harrison, injuries for Steve Smith. Terrell Owens coming in at #5 is a little surprising, but he is #1 on a team that threw for 4,000+ yards last season.

The Lions' Roy Williams makes the leap into the Top 10 after his breakout season. That seems fair, but I worry about the Calvin Johnson Factor. If he is as good as advertised, I would expect him to take away long pass opportunites, and those won't be coming from Mike Furrey.

#s 14 through 20, Buffalo's Lee Evans through Pittsburgh's Hines Ward, are separated by 11 points. I'd personally include the Jets' Laverneus Coles, the Niners' Darrell Jackson, and the Buccaneers' Joey Galloway in that grouping. Those three represent that only players I'd have serious qualms with about their rankings. However, I could be mistaken. Tell me why.
