Thoughts On Yesterday/Chat Links

Yovanni Gallardo pitched the kind of game that will have the fantasy baseball world buzzing.  It was against the Royals so temper your enthusiasm.  If you have him, enjoy.  Maybe it is time to see if you can plug a hole someone else on your roster by using him as trade bait.

The Tigers' Andrew Miller also pitched a gem.  With the Mike Maroth trade and the move of Chad Durbin to the bullpen, Miller is up for good.  If Yo' is sucking all the air from the room, Miller may be available for a slightly reduced price.

Dustin McGowan took a no-hitter into the 9th inning and finished with a one-hit shutout.  Is he a more valuable 2007 fantasy commodity than any of the current crop super-hyped rookie pitchers?

In Kansas City, 3B-turned-OF-turned 1B Mark Teahen looks like he will move from the outfield to open-up playing time for the other Royals outfielders.  1B Ryan Shealy looks like a bust.  Hopefully, Joey Gathright takes advantage of this oppotunity.  If not, then GM Dayton Moore's trading acumen takes a hit.

There are a lot of chats today.  Hopefully, the NBA one with John Hollinger will occur because the draft is Thursday night.  BP's minor league maven, Kevin Goldstein, will host a chat today.  With the announcement of the Futures Game rosters, I am curious if he sees the World roster as the weak sister to the US one.
