The big news coming out of yesterday was the bad news on pitchers Curt Schilling and John Lackey. Schilling is going on the D.L. for precautionary reasons, and John lackey is having his next start pushed into next week due to shoulder tightness. The Angels are also skipping Jered Weaver's next start due to shoulder issues. Add in Bartolo Colon, and the Angels appear to have some shoulder strengthening problems.
The Mets' Pedro Martinez threw another bullpen session yesterday. I am curious to get more details as the absence of bad news being taken as good news does not provide as much detail as I'd prefer.
The Angels Terry Evans hit his first major league HR. With all the Angles pitching problems, I wouldn't be surprised to see him sent to AAA. I bet the Yankees wish they had the luxury of a player like Evans to shuttle back and forth. Or Nathan Haynes or Reggie Willits. Heck, even Garrett Anderson!
Milton Bradley returned from the D.L. and went 0-3. (Insert injury joke here.)
