Thoughts On Yesterday/Chat Links

Jonny Gomes homered twice yesterday to bring his total to four on the season.  Since his recall, he is a scorching 8-14 with 3 HRs and two doubles.  I'd say he was jobbed earlier this season, but the past is the past.  The Rays are better now.

Kevin Slowey provided an ugly line for his believers - 5.1 IP, 8H, 4 BB, 3 K and 3 HRs.  Hyped prospects and useful fantasy players are not the same thing.

24 LOB.  I was shocked to see the Mariners left 24 men on base against the Astros.

The Astros scored ten runs yesterday and nine on Saturday.  Is the team reaping an Adam Everett Scoring Dividend?

Has the JJ Hardy bandwagon lost a wheel yet?  His 0-5 yesterday brought his AVG down to .282 for the season and a June slash line of 200/262/300.  Maybe there is someone out there willing to buy high.  More important would be the Hardy owner who recognizes that Hardy shouldn't allow an opportunity at SS to pass.
