What will be the big topics in today's chats? The demise of the Yankees, premature or not, will certainly be one. The closer situation in Chicago will be another. Yesterday's five-inning effort by Felix Hernandez is a third.
The fourth? Tyler Clippard because there cannot be a chat without a question about the 5th starter on the Yankees. In Clippard's defense, his stat line looks very good - 6 IP, 3H, 3BB, 6K. However, I remain unimpressed. The radar gun was in the 88-90 MPH range. I don't see a right-hander surviving on that. What I see are lots of David Wright-like HRs in his future - right-handed hitters crushing balls to the opposite field power alley!
