With the move towards 12-man pitching staffs, are there strategies AL-/NL-only leagues can implement to mitigate the negative effects of free agent pool scarcity?
If reducing league and roster size are not an option, then what? Should teams begin to draft DL players in order to build-up bench strength? Should teams begin to focus on the higher levels of the minor leagues in minor league drafts?
Is it wise to change time-tested league formats just because the free agent pool is unattractive this year?
