Writing Diaries Made Easy

Given the many moving parts during the baseball season, there are many questions that I can't address on my own.  However, there is a way to bring those pieces of information to the attention of every reader for answers and that is the diary feature.

To post a diary, you need to create an account on Fake Teams.  If you are a regular reader and haven't commented, set-up an account and begin adding your $0.02.  Click the "Create Account" link in the Menu section in the upper right (Or just click here.)  Choose a username, password and provide an email address.  You will then receive an email requesting verification.  Click the provided link and come back.  After that very brief process, you will be ready to become an active part of our conversations.

The challenge then becomes meeting the 300 character minimum.  That is the reason for this post.  I've created a template that you can copy-and-paste that will meet the 300 character minimum.  It is based on the questions fantasy owners ask themselves following every day's worth of games in any sport.

Should I bench player X and start player Y in his place?

Is pitcher X for real?  I am impressed by stat Y.

What should I expect in a trade for player X?

This is a standardized fantasy sports format for easy diary production on www.faketeams.com.  For position references, change to applicable sport i.e "pitcher" in baseball, "TE" in football, "SF" in basketball, etc.

A specific example with italics denoting those parts I inserted:

Should I bench Josh Barfield and start Ian Kinsler in his place?

Is Joe Blanton for real?  I am impressed by his 7 Ks and 0 BBs in his first start.

What should I expect in a trade for Chris Carpenter?

Later this week, I am going to add a link to this post in the Menu section for easier use.
