Update [2007-3-26 16:30:26 by Eric Hz]: The Marlins just acquired Jorge Julio from the Diamondbacks for Yusi Petit. I'd say Julio is the favorite to close.
The Marlins will name their Opening Day closer and centerfielder on Wednesday. I've covered the closer battle many times as have every other fantasy site. The competitors are Matt Linstrom, Henry Owens, and Kevin Gregg. The only one of the three I haven't taken in a draft yet is Matt Lindstrom. That only occurred because Yahoo! didn't have him in its system.
In CF, the winner is likely to offer a cheap source of SB in NL-only leagues. The outlook for mixed leagues is still too uncertain for any of the players to pre-emptively be removed from the free agent pool.
My guess on Wednesday's announced winners are Matt Linstrom and Eric Reed. What are yours?
