Boston Closer

Those of us hoping Joel Piniero would be a $25 player in just more than a month's time need to pause.  Rumblings from Boston are putting Jonathan Papelbon back in the closer's job.  If true, he immediately becomes a Top 10 closer.

What will be interesting is how his "injured" shoulder plays.  I have to put it in quotes because anything coming out of the Red Sox front office must be treated the same way an agent's player evaluation - as deceptive.

However, assuming at some point in time the shoulder injury was a real concern, do not forget to grab Piniero for a $1 in AL-only drafts, a reserve in very deep mixed ones and as a player to watch in shallower ones.  He could be one of those players who gets a team double digit saves.
