The AP is reporting the Yankees and Twins are talking trade for SP Johan Santana. Yankee senior vice president Hank Steinbrenner, or should I have said the Boss, answered this way on the state of the discussions. "I don't want to get into that at this point, as far as what they want, what we're willing to give and all that," he said. "It's preliminary right now."
The one interesting fact is Yankees' GM Brian Cashman isn't mentioned in this report or any others involving Santana. More to come tomorrow.
