With all the talk about the Angels giving-up the cream of their prospect crop, Kevin Goldstein of Baseball Prospectus has released his Top 11 Angels Prospects. There is little surprise at thet top with the much-talked-about Nick Adenhart and Brandon Wood leading the way. The remaining eight are not household names for anyone except the most hard-core prospects mavens.

While Jordan Walden, Hank Conger and Peter Bourjos are at least two years away from the majors (and that assume huge breakouts in 2009!), any of them would provide good fallback options if the Angels refuse to part with any one or two of their major league/AAA counterparts in any negotiations with the Marlins about Miguel Cabrera.
