The Week Five decisions on which WRs to start for my "Orlovky o's" fantasy team are not very positive using KC Joyner's grading system. I have just five WR options to fill two WR slots and the possibility of a Flex. Given the poor choices, I am going to stick with Texan RB Ron Dayne at Flex thanks to an atrocious Miami run defense.
To make matters more difficult, Rams' WR Torry Holt has been downgraded by Joyner. I am not convinced it is merited as he remains one of the best WRs based on receptions (23 - 8th overall by total) and the injuries QB Marc Bulger sustained may have more to do with his yardage struggles than any loss of ability from Holt. With 5.75 recpetions per game, he will get his yards. The TD total of two is not bad as one multi-TD game or a string of games with one would bring Holt right to his expected levels. His prior three seasons' total were 10, 9, and 10. His is on pace for eight right now.
On the upgrade side, Tennessee WR Brandon Jones has seen his grade moved from "D" to "C-". Only student-athletes hoping to remain eligible would see that as a positve grade, but I see the trend upward and not the specific grade.
In addition to Holt, who should be my other starting WR this week? (Poll inside Comment section.)
