Weekly Surprises -- Week 7

New, 2 comments

A few guys that might have slipped your notice this Sunday:

Leonard Pope, TE, Arizona - 3 catches for 25 yards, 1 touchdown.  Pope has been touted as a fantasy sleeper by a lot of folks, including me, for years.  Does this finally mean that Pope is ready to be a force in the NFL?  Probably not.  But it's a good sign.

Lee Evans, WR, Buffalo - 5 catches for 98 yards.  Hi, I'm Lee Evans. You may know me from such films as "24 Touchdowns Over The Past Three Years" and last year's big hit "1292 Receiving Yards".  You may be wondering where I've been.  Well, I've been a huge fantasy bust this year, but I've found something to bring me back to stardom - Trent Edwards!

Brandon Stokley, WR, Denver - 5 catches for 70 yards, 1 touchdown.  A return breakout game for the former 1000 yard receiver.  With Javon Walker out with an injury and Brandon Marshall busted for DUI, Stokley may end up being the #1 WR in Denver sooner rather than later. In fact, it might be right now.
