Lots of choices this week that would normally not be considered but for the six-team bye week. Throw-in an injury to Titans' #1 WR Brandon Jones and the choices get uglier. I dropped Arnaz Battle as a result of the bye and the need to add an 8-12 point possibility for Week Six. I also jettisoned Bears TE Desmond Clark after he split receptions with rookie TE Greg Olsen last week.
With waiver priority set by worst-to-first, I have been unable to add any of the hot wire pick-ups, so I am fishing is the toxic waters of the free agent pool. However, there was a fish who didn't have three eyes - Philadelphia Eagles WR Reggie Brown.
Given Kevin Curtis' HUGE week a wee bit back and Brown's disappointment in fulfilling the expectations of mid-round draft status, he seems to be a gem of a find. I hope. My other pick-up was New Orleans' Saints RB Aaron Stecker who is likely to play this week as my current starting RBs are Edgerrin james and... Ron Dayne of the Houston Texans. With Ahman Green healthy, I am not hopeful for 12-15 touches. Nevermind how effective those would be against a Jacksonville Jaguars defense.
