Yesterday's ESPN Insider Blog post by Peter Gammons revealed this interesting piece of trade rumor-inciting information:

They are the Yankees, so two hours after their season turned to winter, there was a cellphone conversation about what could be packaged with Chien-Ming Wang to get Johan Santana, not Carlos Silva or any of the other mongrel free agents. They inquired about Santana, because they are the Yankees.

What could be packaged with the 19-game winning, $489,500-paid Wang to obtain the 2008-2009 free agent soon-to-be $20MM per season Santana? It is a tough question to answer, but isn't Wang straight-up even, if not better for the Twins all things considered?
