The bye week shuffling begins this week with the San Diego, Oakland, Kansas City and Dallas getting an early rest - too early in my opinion.
N.Y. Giants at Seattle 4:15 p.m.
Is this the first week TE Jeremy Shockey's injuries list him as "probable", he is started by his fantasy owners and then doesn't play?
Can Shaun Alexander have a 1st overall pick type of game? How quickly will WR Deoin Branch ramp up to 5+ receptions per game status?
Philadelphia at San Francisco 4:15 p.m.
Does TE LJ Smith get started this week just in time to teach those owners who didn't start him last week a lesson in "market timing"? If RB Brian Westbrook doesn't play, will RB Correll Buckhalter be the main back? Who finds themselves surprised by the bye and stuck starting him regardless?
As six point home underdogs, do the 49ers show themsleves to be "contenders' this year with a win? If the Niners do win/keep the game close, will that solidify QB Alex Smith as a safe bye week play?
St. Louis at Arizona 4:15 p.m.
If the Rams offense can't get moving i.e. a TD or two by Stephen jackson and two or three thrown by QB Mark Bulger, do we officially say "Goodbye" to the days of the high-flying Rams offense?
RB Edgerrin James is on the cusp of official RB2 status, can that dramatic drop in fantasy value be staved off? Does the Matt Leinart Era begin this weekend?
Will the Broncos passing game have a stat line worthy of "professional" status? Can it withstand another dud before the Jay Cutler Era begins?
Will the Patriots no-name WR game continue to be successful or will the Broncos stop the two-game rushing juggarnaut of Dillon & Maroney and expose it as folly? Will Chad Jackson become the official WR1 for the Pats?
Atlanta at New Orleans 8:30 p.m.
Can the Atlanta rushing attack continue its Oklahoma University performance to the Saints' Northwest Texas State?
With the expected emotion at the Superdome, will the Saints play with less inspiration than all the armchair quarterback believe? Does Deuce McAllister continue to dominate the rushing touches? Will WR Marques Colsten catch a TD pass for a third straight game?
