Ratio Protection

Now is the time to transition from start-heavy pitching staffs to middle reliever reliant ones - if you have been fortunate to obtain good ratios with that strategy.

If Joel Zumaya is not available, and I suspect he is not, then take a look at fellow rookie Jonathan Broxton(50.1 IP 3.04 ERA and 1.25 WHIP with 60 K.)

Scott Proctor with the Yankees is also good (68.2 IP/3.80/1.25/60K.)

Amongst other notable middle relievers are Mike Timlin, Fernando Rodney, Jesse Crain, Justin Duchsherer, the equally-unavailable Scot Shields, Mark Lowe, Ken Ray, Taylor Tankersley, Dan Wheeler, Bobby Howry, Scott Linebrink, Tony Pena, and Vinnie Chulk.

I know I have missed a few, but I hope to have opened some eyes to a few that have flown under the radar, too.

The point remains, begin the transition towards ratio protection.
