Jason Hirsh

The Houston Astros start their version of the Twins' Matt Garza - 6'8 RHP Jason Hirsh.

Hirsh has dominated the Pacific Coast league all season.  He has given up 94 hits in 137 IP with a 2.10 ERA.  In this regard, Hirsh is a more advanced pitcher than Matt Garza.

Where Garza is only in his first full profession season, Hirsh is in his third - another regard in which Hirsh has an advantage.

With Hirsh pitching in the NL, he should be able to produce better than garza will in the NL, and, unless Hirsh bombs in the thrid inning, he will have had a more successful major league debut.
