When the New York Knicks passed on Marcus Williams, the consensus reaction was shock. When the New Jersey Nets, seemingly in search of a quality bakc-up point guard since Jason Kidd joined the team, the consensus reaction was, "Great draft!"
Well, in the summer league play versus the Orlando Magic, Marcus Williams scored 24 points and dished twelve assists.
I know that only means he was the best player amongst the bottom third of each team's roster plus an Antonio Alphonseca's handful of free agetns, but it certainly beats "playing with high energy", the bar that the Knicks 1st 1st round selection gets to meet.
