A lot of people have pegged Justin Verlander the best pitching prospect in the game right now. As an oft-disappointed Tigers fan, I try not to get my hopes up too much, but this kid was brilliant in his first start of the season --- seven shutout innings (with 7 K's) against the Rangers in Texas.
