Yesterday, the prosecution in the BALCO case won the right to see the list of names of the players who tested positive in 2003 under MLB's survey testing. This testing was done to determine if steroid testing was necessary in MLB as everything was "hearsay" to that point.
I anxiously await the leaking of these names because I want to see which good P.R. player(s) tested positive. According to the Matt Drudge of rumor mongering
I've seen a partial list of these names, so this could have a major impact on the game and its public perception.
I wouldn't be surprised to see a positive-testing good guy cause so much cognitive dissonance amongst the worshipful press corp that the whole steroids issue falls by the wayside.
