2007 Toronto Blue Jays and Detroit Tigers Fantasy Values

The Blue Jays big signing was CF Vernon Wells. he is a player that is easily $20+. The question is whether he is a $30_ player. If he repeats his 2006 AVG and SB totals, then he is. I gave him the benefit of the doubt despite havng some concerns.

The Tigers were tricky because most of the hitters and pitchers straddled the $15-$20 for the hitters and the $16-$22 range for the pitchers, If I only bought into the 1.30+ WHIP being a safe indicator of a sub-4.00 ERA.

Maggs
It's a senseless comparison (until you realize that I'm facing a difficult keeper decision, anyway), but does Maggs really have a higher expected 2007 value than Josh Willingham? The kid posted a superior OPS last year as a rook and outhomered Maggs despite receiving ~80 fewer PAs. Any thoughts?

Can Willingham be expected to get those additional PAs? If not, the Maggs better AVG and RBI totals, plus his track record, would lead me towards him. If their is a difference in salary or draft position, then Willingham. Just keep in mind the AVG. It is very easy to load-up with .265-.275 hitters in mixed leagues. it is not so easy to off-set that overload in ABs.
