Yesterday's trade of Eddie Guardado to the Cincinnati Reds set the Roto world abuzz.

Who is going to close in Cincy?  

From this morning's Cincinnati Enquirer:

All the Todd Coffey enthusiasts have to take a step back for a week or so to see if Guardado suceeds in his return to his favored role.

I believe he will.

For all the fantasy leagues that use FAAB, get ready to spend big.  The cost of a closer in a trade is typically a top starting pitcher or hitter.

Now you can get a closer without giving up that level of player.  It is a no-brainer, really.

And for those teams that bailed already on the year, there is no reason you can't bid-up on Guardado and then flip him to a team in contention for something(s) useful in 2007 and beyond!
