Recap: Toronto vs. Baltimore

Toronto, ON (Sports Network) - Gregg Zaun's two-run, pinch-hit double in the sixth frame proved to be the difference, as Toronto slipped past Baltimore, 3-2, to conclude a three-game set at Rogers Centre.
Zaun made a winner of Jesse Litsch (12-8), who gave the Blue Jays six effective innings with two runs scattered on four hits with four walks and six strikeouts. B.J. Ryan pitched a shaky ninth, but still picked up his 31st save for Toronto, which has won two straight.
With Adam Lind on third and Lyle Overbay on second, Zaun drilled a pitch over Nick Markakis' head in right for the two-run double off relief pitcher Jim Miller, who took over for Garrett Olson (9-9). The starter Olson yielded three runs on four hits with three walks and one strikeout in 5 2/3 innings.
Alex Cintron drove in both runs for the Orioles, losers in four of six.
Jose Bautista's solo home run in the bottom of the first stood up until Baltimore put a pair of runs on the scoreboard in the fifth. Oscar Salazar and Jay Payton each walked with one out and Brian Roberts walked with two outs to load the bases. Cintron came through with a two-run single past the diving second baseman for a 2-1 lead.
The Blue Jays moved back in front during the sixth frame with Zaun's big hit.
The Orioles shut down starting pitcher Daniel Cabrera (strained elbow) for the remainder of the season on Thursday...Litsch is 4-1 in the seven starts since his return from Triple-A Syracuse..Toronto has won nine of the last 11 meetings between the clubs and improved to 11-5 in the season series... Attendance 29,063.
