Dunn deal: Arizona sends Owings to Reds

Phoenix, AZ (Sports Network) - The Arizona Diamondbacks sent pitcher Micah Owings to the Cincinnati Reds on Friday to finalize the August 11 trade for slugger Adam Dunn.

In total, the Reds received pitchers Dallas Buck and Owings and utilityman Wilkin Castillo in exchange for Dunn.

Since starting the season 6-2 in his first 10 starts, Owings went 0-7 in his last 12 outings for Arizona. Overall, he was 6-9 with a 5.93 earned run average in 22 starts.

The righty appeared in just two games with Triple-A Tucson, posting a 4.09 ERA without receiving a decision.
