Recap: Milwaukee vs. Cincinnati

Milwaukee, WI (Sports Network) - Brandon Phillips singled home the game- winning run in the 11th to give the Reds a 5-4 win over the Milwaukee Brewers in the second of three games at Miller Park.
Wilkin Castillo went 3-for-3 with a run scored while Edwin Encarnacion added a homer for the Reds, winners of three straight.
Ramon Ramirez pitched six effective innings, allowing only one run and one hit, with four walks and four strikeouts, but did not factor into the decision. Jon Adkins (1-0) got the win after getting an out in the bottom of the 10th, and Francisco Cordero pitched a perfect 11th for his 29th save of the season.
Ray Durham had a pinch-hit three run homer to tie the game in the seventh, and Prince Fielder added two hits for the Brewers, losers of three straight.
With the loss, the Brewers remained 4 1/2 games behind the Cubs for the NL Central Lead after Chicago lost to St. Louis earlier Tuesday. Milwaukee also remained three games ahead of Philadelphia for the wild card due to the Phillies loss to the Marlins.
Jeff Suppan gave up four runs on six hits and two walks in 5 1/3 innings while striking out two. Seth McClung (5-6) took the loss.
McClung came on to pitch the 11th, but couldn't keep the Reds off the scoreboard. After fanning Chris Dickerson, Corey Patterson hit a double to left. A groundout advanced him to third, and, after Joey Votto was intentionally walked, Phillips lined a single to center to plate the game- winning run.
The Brewers took the lead in the first. Rickie Weeks walked and went to second on a balk. J.J. Hardy followed by reaching on an error and, two batters later, Fielder hit an RBI single to score Weeks.
The Reds tied the game in the fifth. Castillo led off with a single, moved to third on a Ryan Hanigan single and scored on Patterson's sacrifice fly.
Cincinnati moved ahead in the sixth. Votto walked before Encarnacion blasted his 25th home run of the year. Jay Bruce followed and made it back-to-back shots to give the Reds a 4-1 advantage.
Jared Burton came on in relief for the Reds in the seventh. Bill Hall was hit by a pitch and Jason Kendall walked, both with one out. Durham then blasted a Burton pitch over the right field wall to tie the game.
The Reds loaded the bases in the eighth with one out, but Jerry Hairston, Jr. and Hanigan both grounded into a fielder's choice to end the threat.
Cincinnati leads season series 8-6...Bruce had two hits and has now hit safely in 11 of 13 games...Time of the game was 4:21.
