Top 100 Prospects: Project Prospects Top 100 Prospects for 2012
Adam Foster and his team of prospect experts/scouts published their Top 100 Prospects for 2012 on Friday, and here are their Top 10 prospect for 2012.
Before I publish their Top 10, here is the criteria for their Top 100 Prospect Rankings:
Criteria
We consider any player with fewer than 130 career at bats or 50.0 career innings pitched who has signed a contract with an MLB team to be a prospect.
1. Mike Trout, LAA
2. Bryce Harper, WAS
3. Matt Moore, TB
4. Jesus Montero, SEA
5. Shelby Miller, STL
6. Yu Darvish, TEX
7. Manny Machado, BAL
8. Jurickson Profar, TEX
9. Manny Banuelos, NYY
10. Anthony Rendon, WAS
And for those of you who don't think Darvish should be considered a prospect, and I don't think he should, here is their 11th ranked prospect:
11. Trevor Bauer, ARI

Top 100 Prospects: MLB.com's Top 100 Prospects for 2012
Jonathan Mayo, MLB.com's draft and prospect expert, published his Top 100 prospects last night and here is the link. Over the next few weeks to month, we will be privy to Top 100 Prospect lists from Baseball America, Baseball Prospectus, ESPN's Keith Law, Project Prospect and Minor League Ball's John Sickels. That's right, Sickels will be publishing a Top 100 list for the first time ever.
Here are Mayo's Top 10 prospects from his Top 100 list:
1. Matt Moore, TB
2. Bryce Harper, WAS
3. Mike Trout, LAA
4. Julio Teheran, ATL
5. Shelby Miller, STL
6. Manny Machado, BAL
7. Jurickson Profar, TEX
8. Jameson Taillon, PIT
9. Trevor Bauer, ARI
10. Dylan Bundy, BAL
I have a feeling Jurickson Profar will be ranked higher than Manny Machado in some of the other Top 100 prospect lists, and the same can be said for Shelby Miller over Julio Teheran.
What do Fake Team's readers think of this list? Should Profar be ranked ahead of Machado? or Miller ahead of Teheran?

Top 100 Prospects: Kevin Goldstein's Top Rated Hitting Prospects
Continuing in the series of Top 100 Prospects articles, today I provide Kevin Goldstein's top rated hitting prospects for 2012. Kevin is the prospect expert over at Baseball Prospectus where he writes his annual Top 11 prospects for each team. Actually, he lists the team's top 20 prospects, in a tiered format, but writes a mini scouting report for each in his Top 11.
