Would you make this trade?
I am in a keeper league, we can keep players forever, and have been offered Emilio Bonifacio and Andrew McCutchen for Adrian Gonzalez. It is a 6x6 league with OPS and HLDs as the extra two categories. My team is Carlos Santana, Adrian Gonzalez, Michael Cuddyer, Derek Jeter, Ryan Zimmerman, Freddie Freeman, Matt Kemp, Justin Upton, Jayson Werth, Gaby Sanchez, Adam LaRoche, and Adam Lind. Is it a good idea to make this trade? What are your thoughts?
Fantasy Football Keeper League Question
Rate these players in order of how valuable you think they are in a keeper league:
Hakeem Nicks, New York Giants
Steven Jackson, St. Louis Rams
Aaron Rodgers, Green Bay Packers
Antonio Brown, Pittsburgh Steelers
Jason Witten, Dallas Cowboys
Adrian Peterson, Minnesota Vikings
Stevie Johnson, Buffalo Bills
Greg Jennings, Green Bay Packers
Steven Ridley, New England Patriots
Need to keep 4 players but can trade anybody who I do not keep if anybody else is interested. Let me know what you guys think. Thanks a lot.
What should I do with my team???
So I'm in a standard head to head points league(keeper league). Big trades..please help
Im in a H2H points dynasty league where good SP is very valuable. We start 4 OF and Im pretty well off there with my regular starters being Kemp, Hamilton, McCutchen, Ichiro/Melky. Another owner wants my Melky and I can get either Alexi Ramirez/Rollins for him. My SS right now is HanRam, so i would then flip him to a different team for either Greinke/Weaver. I would be doing this kind of assuming that HanRam does not regain SS eligibility this year and will only be elegible at 3B next year. Im set there with Sandoval and Lawrie for the future. I obviously will only make both of these moves together, i wont do one with out the other.......should i do this? what is my best option here 1) melky and HanRam, 2) Alexi Ramirez and Greinke 3) Alexi and Weaver 4) Rollins and Greinke 5) Rollins and Weaver
Need to get rid of 2
I'm in a lifetime league where I need to get rid of two of these guys:
| Drew Hutchison | TOR | |
| Nathan Eovaldi | LAD | |
| Matt Harvey | NYM | |
| Jake Odorizzi | KC | |
| Jose Campos | NYY | |
| Miguel Sano | MINN | |
| Michael Choice | OAK | |
| Eddie Rosario | MINN | |
| Gary Brown | SF |
Anthony Bass/Joe Wieland
Well I am going to keep this as short as this word limit allows. But I am in a 16 team dynasty league and I just signed Mr. Bass and Mr. Wieland. Would you put them on a 1/2/3 year deal?
I am sure that they could both turn out to be pretty good SPs especially given the fact that they play half their games in Petco!
So either vote or reply...help a brother out!
Should I go after a big name 1B,RP, or what am I missing?
I am part of a 12 team HTH fantasy keeper league in which we will keep 2 batters and 2 pitchers each year.
Hitting stats are: R, H, HR, RBI, SB, TB, AVG, OBP, & SLG
Pitching stats are: W, L, CG, SV, K, HLD, ERA, WHIP, & QS
My team currently is:
1B- Lucas Duda
2B- Dan Uggla
SS- Asdrubal Cabrera
3B- David Wright
OF- Jacoby Ellsbury
OF- Melky Cabrera
Util- Derek Jeter
Util- Howie Kendrick
BN- Peter Bourjos
BN- Coco Crisp
BN/DL- Stephen Drew
Starting Pitchers: C.J. Wilson, Matt Harrison, Shaun Marcum, Johnny Cueto, Ivan Nova, Colby Lewis, Dan Hudson
DL- Chris Carpenter
Relief Pitchers: Joaquin Benoit, Fernando Rodney, Francisco Cordero, Kyle Farnsworth- DL
As of now, my keepers for next year will likely be Ellsbury, Granderson, C.J. Wilson, and Chris Carpenter
Now, we only have 2 DL spots on our roster, of which I am holding Carpenter and Farnsworth. I know I need at least 1 more RP for more saves, especially since Rodney will probably be switching off with Farnsworth once he comes off DL. I have Benoit and Cordero for holds, which I kind of feel like is a waste of a pitcher slot. Should I drop/trade one of them for someone to get me more saves? My starting rotation looks somewhat reliable, not overpowering and could likely use some work. When I look at my batters, I see a very good OF, Wright is solid at 3B (as long as he is healthy), and a decent SS platoon between jeter and cabrera. My biggest concern is at 1B however. I have kendrick as a util. and Duda slotted there now, which in week 1 was a good move, but I am wondering how Duda will hold up over the course of the year. So there you have it, where should I look to improve, who should I move, what would you do!? ANY help is greatly appreciated!
Fantasy Football; 5 Players Poised to Breakout in 2012
(1.) Demaryius Thomas WR Denver
Thomas is entering his third season for the Denver Broncos. He has battled injuries for parts of his first two seasons and has missed a total of 11 games. Last season Thomas had just 32 catches for 551 yards, but as the year went on he started to show signs of why the Broncos took him with the 22nd overall selection in the 2010 draft. He had two 100-yard games late in the season and in the AFC Wild Card game against the Steelers Thomas caught 4 passes for 204 yards and a touchdown, including the game-winning 80-yard touchdown pass on the opening play of overtime. Thomas also has a new quarterback in Peyton Manning, who we all know is a definite upgrade from Tim Tebow. Manning is coming off of several knee surgeries but has reportedly been doing much better and throwing the ball well. I like Thomas as a top 20 fantasy WR this year.
(2.) Robert Meachem WR San Diego
Meachem signed a 4-year deal with the Chargers about a month ago on March 13. In five years with the Saints, Meachem has shown signs of becoming a star but his playing time has been very inconsistent. Drew Brees also loves to spread the ball around and it was very difficult to predict when Meachem would have a good fantasy week. His best season came in 2009 when he caught 45 balls for 722 yards and 9 scores. Meachem should be able to improve on that now that he is with San Diego, who recently lost star receiver Vincent Jackson to the Buccaneers in free agency. The playing time and targets should improve and Meachem still has a star quarterback in Philip Rivers. I don’t think it would be unreasonable to expect 1,000 yards and 8-10 touchdowns from Meachem in 2012.
(3.) Jake Locker QB Tennessee
Locker got limited action last year as a rookie as Matt Hasselbeck held him off in camp for the starting job. But when Locker got his shot, he produced. In five games of action he had a passer rating of 99.4, showing off his versatility and rocket arm in the process. His most impressive game came against New Orleans in week 13 as Locker completed 13 of 29 passes for 282 yards and a touchdown as well as 6 carries for 36 yards and another score. With his best receiver Kenny Britt coming back from an MCL and ACL tear paired with the emergence of tight end Jared Cook, he should be in for a big year. I expect Locker to win the starting job this year and show everyone why the Titans made him the 8th overall pick in the draft a year ago. I think Locker has the potential to be a average #2 QB in 12 team leagues with lots of upside.
(4.) Shane Vereen RB New England
One of the most frustrating things in fantasy football the past couple years has been trying to figure out the New England Patriots backfield. With BenJarvus Green-Ellis and Danny Woodhead on the team a year ago, I was confused as to why the Patriots drafted both Vereen in the second round and Stevan Ridley in the third round. But now that Green-Ellis, who was the leading rusher a year ago, has left in free agency it is time for Vereen and Ridley to step up. Ridley got more playing time a year ago because Vereen could not stay healthy, but I expect Vereen to emerge as the player to own in the Patriots backfield this season. Both should contribute, but I like Vereen to get most of the work because of his explosiveness and superior receiving skills, a necessity in an offense that loves to throw the ball.
(5.) Matt Flynn QB Seattle
I was very interested to see where Flynn would end up this offseason. As a St. Louis Rams fan, Seattle was probably the last place that I wanted to see him go. Yes, Flynn has only played in 34 games and has just two starts, but he has showed that he deserves to be given a shot to start in the NFL in the limited action he has gotten. Flynn has a career passer rating of 92.8 and in his only start last year he threw for 480 yards and 6 touchdowns. It will obviously be difficult to continue to have games like that, but I believe Flynn will be a solid #2 fantasy quarterback in 12 team leagues. He plays in a relatively weak division, has a solid running game, and even a decent group of receivers that include Sidney Rice, Doug Baldwin, Mike Williams, Golden Tate, and Zach Miller.
How's my team looking?
I'm in a 10 team 6x6 scoring league
C - Joe Mauer
1st - Kendrys Morales
2nd - Ryan Roberts
3rd - A-Rod
SS - Jhonny Peralta
IF - Emilio Bonifacio
OF - Matt Kemp
OF - Carlos Gonzalez
OF - Giancarlo Stanton
UTIL - Brett Gardner
UTIL - Brennan Boesch
DL - Michael Morse - (should be off next week)
P - Stephen Strasburg
P - Brandon Morrow
P - Derek Holland - (just picked up, he's part of my revolving staff based on who's starting that day)
SP - Zack Greinke
SP - Dan Haren
RP - Heath Bell
RP - Carlos Marmol - (hate this guy but he's got about 7 straight days with games coming up
Bench - Josh Johnson
Bench - Clay Buchholz
I'm not big on Buchholz but I got him late in the draft. Trying to figure out if I can upgrade second base somehow though Roberts had a nice season last year. Boesch is my sleeper so I'd like to keep him to see how he does with the tigers lineup.
