FanDuel Value Plays Week 16
You're season-long leagues may be over, but FanDuel is still kicking as the NFL playoff picture starts to take focus. This week we have a great slate of matchups. I'll go through a couple of my favorite value plays for this week below, good luck!
Quarterback
Drew Brees - $8,200
Brees is coming in to the week with a nice price at just over eight grand. The Saints will be hosting the Jacksonville Jaguars this week, and Brees, at home, against a Jaguars defense that hasn't stopped anyone all year is a great play. The Jags can score, the Saints defense can't stop anyone, and so I think this week Brees puts up some nice numbers for us.
Teddy Bridgewater - $6,600
Bridgewater and his Vikings are facing the New York Giants this weekend in a great Sunday Night Football matchup. The Giants secondary has been extremely generous so far this year, and getting an opposing quarterback against a terrible secondary at under $7k is just too good to pass up.
Running Back
DeAngelo Williams - $7,400
D-Will is having an amazing year filling in for the injured LeVeon Bell. The Pittsburgh offense is torching opposing defenses, and Williams is benefiting from all of the red-zone opportunities. This week, the Ravens are in the cross-hairs. Baltimore is wrapping up one of their worst seasons in a long time, and I think the Steelers wrap this one up early, then lean on Williams to finish things off.
Bilal Powell - $5,900
Powell has been on a tear the last 3 weeks, and I don't see the Jets moving away from him this week against the New England Patriots. I expect Tom Brady and company to put up plenty of points, which with force a very capable Jets offense to keep up. Powell will be one of the beneficiaries of a back and forth shootout, and I love him at this price this week.
Wide Receiver
Brandin Cooks - $7,000
Cooks is coming off of a very nice week, and his Saints will face the Jacksonville Jaguars this week. With Cooks playing at home in the dome against one of the worst the defenses in the league, I am expecting a big day out of him. The Jags should do enough to push the Saints to score, and at $7k, Cooks is a great option.
Tyler Lockett - $6,200
Lockett is playing with one of the league's hottest quarterbacks in Russell Wilson. The Seahawks face a Rams team that has looked great on defense, then looked terrible as well. The Seahawks should march over the Rams on their way to the playoffs, and Lockett will continue his string of nice games with Russell Wilson playing out-of-his-mind quarterback.
Tight End
Richard Rogers - $5,300
Green Bay will face a tough Arizona Cardinals defense this week, but Rogers has done a nice job filling a void in the Packers passing game. It has been hard to rely on a Green Bay receiver this year, but at just over $5k, ole Rich-Rod is a great bargain this week.
Defense
Buffalo Bills - $4,600
The Bills are playing the Cowboys this week, and Dallas is heading in the wrong direction. I know the Bills defense hasn't been the killer squad that we expected early in the year, but this week, against the 37th QB Dallas will start this year, I'll take a shot on the Bills.
Kicker
Cairo Santos - $4,700
Santos has been money so far this year, and with the Chiefs hosting the Cleveland Browns, I expect Santos to get plenty of work come Sunday. The Chiefs should be able to move the ball, giving Cairo plenty of chances to get on the field and knock in some 3-pointers for us.
