We have reached Wednesday, and the FanDuel slates are starting to get split. As usual I will focus on the heavier side of the slate, which is the evening games. There are a lot of great hitting options tonight, and I tried to highlight guys I like. One thing I want to remind the readers is, this isn't an optimal lineup, these are plays I like that all fit in the to salary cap. With that being said, good luck and I'll be back on Friday since the Thursday split is brutal.
All players prices are based on FanDuel pricing.
SP - Garrett Richards, Los Angeles Angels, $8,600 - Richards draws a great matchup against the Red Sox tonight, a team that usually struggles to create runs. Richards has the potential to get in to double-digit strikeouts, and at his price he has the most value for top tier pitchers.
C - Brian McCann, New York Yankees, $2,900 - McCann should be behind the plate tonight, and has the potential for a big game. I don't view Feldman as the pushover most people see him as, but I do think McCann can exploit him, especially with the short porch in right.
1B - Anthony Rizzo, Chicago Cubs, $4,000 - There are two great options tonight at first. You can either go Rizzo or LaRoche. I decided to put Rizzo in here today since I suggested LaRoche yesterday. Both face weak right-handed pitchers, so pick your poison.
2B - Omar Infante, Kansas City Royals, $2,300 - Infante has been on a tear the past few days, and he will playing in Coors Field tonight. With the way FanDuel has him priced, it would be criminal for me not to point this out.
3B - Nolan Arenado, Colorado Rockies, $3,600 - Arenado is another player who is on fire, and is playing at Coors Field. Daniel Duffy takes the mound for the Royals, and I expect his metrics to catch up to him in this one.
SS - Asdrubal Cabrera, Washington Nationals, $2,700 - I think Cabrera is the type of player that can take advantage of Trevor Cahill's pitching style. His value would increase if Matt William's slots him in the 2 spot.
OF - Michael Brantley, Cleveland Indians, $4,000 - The Indians should have a nice offensive night with Ricky Nolasco on the mound for the Twins. Nolasco has struggled since moving to the AL, and Brantley should be in for a big game.
OF - Jay Bruce, Cincinnati Reds, $3,500 - When a hitter is hot, you gotta keep tossing him out there. Bruce also has good career numbers against Lance Lynn, so that should add fuel to the fire.
OF - Yasiel Puig, Los Angeles Dodgers, $3,300 - Eric Stults heads to Los Angeles. Stults is notoriously bad on the road, and the way Puig is priced on FanDuel it is hard to pass on him.
As always please check lineups and weather conditions before rosters lock, nothing is worse than having inactive players on a daily fantasy roster.
