The Mighty Mite That Might Make You a Fantasy Champ This Year

I finished RB56 in 2011, RB24 in 2012, and RB12 in 2013 in PPR leagues (according to Fantasy Football Today). Among running backs, this year, I’m projected 36th, and I’m not even in the top 100 players drafted (according to ESPN). I’m not injured, I’m not facing suspension, I’m with the same team where I was the number 12 PPR RB last year, and I’m 29 years old. What gives?

You still don’t know me? What if I told you that you’re taller than me and I look just like the guy that delivered that pizza to you that one time, that guy that smelled like Wu-Tang’s studio?

That’s right; you guessed it, Little Danny Woodhead. Woodhead is my odds-on favorite for toughest guy in the NFL, pound for pound. He’s also one of my favorite sleepers this year. Why is no one talking about this guy? He’s on the same team where he was RB12 last year, and he’s likely coming back to a better offensive line. The Chargers brought in Donald Brown but that is no threat to Woodhead’s production. Donald Brown is now a Charger so that he can spell Ryan Matthews and provide injury insurance.

Yes, Wisenhunt has moved on to Tennessee, but Phillip Rivers is still under center. Ole P-Rivs helped make Darren Sproles a viable fantasy option, and now he’s got the new model Sproles in Woodhead.

With a round 8 price tag, Woodhead should end up on every one of your teams this year.
