With the upcoming NFL Draft, lots of football fans are wondering (and arguing) about who will be the first pick in this NFL Draft. Should the Texans get a QB for the first pick? If so, which one? Do you go with size in Blake Bortles, Take a risk in Johnny Football, or forget Teddy Bridgewaters pro day? But these questions are also going through the minds of Fantasy Football owners. Not who the Texans should draft, but which QB should be on there Fantasy team. Here is a breakdown of 5 of the Highest rated Quarterbacks in this years draft.
Johnny Manziel ( Texas A&M) - Johnny Football had two outstanding years at Texas A&M, winning the Heisman his Freshman year. But Fantasy owners should have a few concerns about this young QB. One thing is his size. At 5,11, he is very undersized compared to QBs in the league and other QBs in the draft. The question owners need to ask is, Is he a risk of getting hurt? Really, you love or hate the way Johnny plays, so the decision on drafting him will be based on the owner.
Blake Bortles (Central Florida) - Blake Bortles is the kind of QB NFL owners are looking for in todays NFL. He can throw, Hes big, and plays good inside of the pocket. The question here isn't if you should draft him to your fantasy team, its if he should be a starter on your squad.
Teddy Bridgewater (Louisville) - When Bridgewater finished his college career at Louisville, everybody thought he was the most NFL ready QB. Then came his Pro Day. It was a very sad thing to watch. So Fantasy owners need to think about the risks of drafting him. Wherever he ends up going, he will definitely be fighting for the starting position. The question is, will he be the starter? Should you use a pick on a guy who may or may not start on his team? Risk and Reward.
