Streamer Report: Thursday's Streaming Pitcher Options

Kim Klement-USA TODAY Sports

Ray highlights some starting pitcher options that you should consider streaming on Thursday, including Ian Kennedy, Edinson Volquez, and Scott Feldman.

The Streamer Report provides you with daily startng pitcher streaming selections for owners who prefer to stream starting pitchers on a daily basis. This report identifies starting pitchers who are owned in less than 50% of ESPN leagues, and who either has a decent track record vs their opponent, has pitched well of late, or has a decent matchup.

Thursday's Streamers

Ian Kennedy, Padres vs Rockies

Kennedy is owned in just 16% of leagues and faces a Rockies team that usually struggles to score runs on the road. In his three starts vs the Rockies last season, Kennedy was 0-1 with a 3.18 ERA, a 1.24 WHIP and a 19-5 strikeout to walk rate in 17 innings.

Edinson Volquez, Pirates vs Brewers

Volquez is owned in 4.6% of leagues, but if he keeps pitching like he has in his two starts, that number will increase in the next week or two. Volquez has given up just two runs in his two starts thus far, covering 12 innings. Of the 36 outs he has induced, twenty have been of the ground ball variety, with eight via the strikeout, so he has been effective on the mound. The Pirates use a lot of defensive shifts and it appears Volquez is benefitting from that and working with Pirates pitching coach Ray Searage and catcher Russell Martin.

Scott Feldman, Astros vs Royals

Feldman is owned in 40 of leagues, so you still have a good shot at grabbing him for his start against the struggling Royals lineup. Feldman is 2-1 in four career starts vs the Royals with a 2.36 ERA and a WHIP under 1.00.
