So I've been in this 16 team keeper league for a few years now. Before this trade my 3 keepers would have been:
Calvin Johnson, Julio Jones and Vernon Davis.
Another team was looking to trade away LeSean McCoy and he wanted a 5th round pick in return. Since there are 3 keepers the first 3 rounds are reserved for those 3 keepers so essentially it's a 2nd round pick if you want to look at it that way.
I have the 11th pick in the draft. So the draft starts in round 4 and I have the 11th pick (59th overall), in round 5, I have the 6th pick (70th overall).
I offered him my 5th round pick for LeSean McCoy and he accepted so my 3 keepers now would be:
Calvin Johnson, Julio Jones and LeSean McCoy.
Did I make the right move? Keep in mind it is a 16 team league, there is only one designated RB slot on the roster, we can only have a MAX of 4 RB's on our roster, and the scoring is as follows:
Every 20 rushing yards = 3 pts
Every 20 receiving yards = 3 pts
40+ yard rushing TD = 2 pts
40+ yard receiving TD = 2 pts
200+ yard rushing game = 6 pts
200+ yard receiving game = 6 pts
50+ yard rushing TD = 3 pts
50+ yard receiving TD = 3 pts
100-199 yard rushing game = 3 pts
100-199 yard receiving game = 3 pts
Roster:
QB
RB - LeSean McCoy
WR - Calvin Johnson
WR - Julio Jones
WR/TE

If I can draft a solid QB with my 1st pick and try to trade Vernon Davis for a draft pick, I think I'm looking pretty good so long as I have a good draft. I have also Stevan Ridley on my team that I can try to find a suitor for in exchange for a draft pick. What do you think? Should I have kept Vernon Davis or was this trade a good move for me?
