Erik Kratz (4% Owned) - Kratz only has about 10 more days before Ruiz rejoins the Phillies and resumes catcher duties. I still recommend adding Kratz in deep leagues as he's on fire right now and should be able to kick in a HR or two next week. I imagine he'll still see time when Ruiz returns and could be the full-time catcher if Ruiz struggles again when he returns.
Jose Iglesias (8% Owned) - Touted as a glove-only prospect while coming up the Boston minor league system, Iglesias has been impressive at the plate this season. It looks like he will fill a utility role for Boston when Will Middlebrooks returns, so it won't be long before he has 3B, SS, and 2B eligibility. I think he will find consistent AB's and provide some nice flexibility for managers in deep leagues.
John Mayberry (3% Owned) - A walk-off Grand Slam on Tuesday, fueled a big week from John Mayberry. Currently owning the left-handed side of a CF platoon with Ben Revere, Mayberry is a cheap source of power that appears to be heating up.
Jason Bay (2% Owned) - I don't know what to make of Jason Bay, but he's slowly becoming fantasy relevant. With 8 HRs already this year, he's worth a look in 14-team leagues and deeper. Bay has hit 4 HRs in the past 14 days and has kicked in 2 SBs. If any Seattle outfielder goes down (wtf Raul Ibanez), Bay should benefit greatly.
Kyle Blanks (2% Owned) - A personal favorite of mine, Kyle Blanks is capable of breaking out at any time. His season stats are quite impressive (5 HR, 19 RBI, .292 AVG, .865 OPS) considering he's only started in 26 games. Now seeing consistent time at 1B, Blanks is a great add for the rest of the season.
Samuel Deduno (2% Owned) - I'm a sucker for groundball pitchers with a solid changeup, and Deduno fits the bill. I wish he was a part of any other rotation besides Minnesota, but I still think he is a great streaming option in all formats. His K-rate is weak right now, but expect it to rise and sit a little above 6.0 K/9 when all is said and done.
Dillon Gee (7% Owned) - A favorite pre-season sleeper for most experts, Gee struggled mightily out of the gate, but after a recent suggestion from Terry Collins to remove Gee from the rotation, he's been dynamite with 19 K's and 2 earned runs in 14.1 IP. Gee is more than capable of providing a 7.0 K/9, and 3.5 ERA the rest of the way.
Joe Blanton (2% Owned) - Blanton has strung together 3 quality starts in a row going 21.1 IP with 17 K's, 0 BB's, and 7 ER's. This performance is a bit of a mirage as Blanton matched up against the Royals, Dodgers, and Astros in this stretch, but the 0 BB's is an encouraging sign. 2% Owned is too low for what Blanton is capable of producing.
Corey Kluber (5% Owned) - Kluber has the best strikeout potential of any SP currently owned in less than 10% of leagues. He currently has a 26.5% K% and although that is slightly inflated compared to his minor league stats, he is very capable of striking out more than a pitcher per inning. I believe he's worth rostering in all 14-team leagues or deeper.
Luis Avilan (1% Owned) - With Venters and O'Flaherty down, Luis Avilan is going to be used often out of the Atlanta bullpen. He has no shot of poaching saves from Craig Kimbrel, but he is an excellent add in all formats to bolster ratios. He doesn't have the big strikeout numbers of other late-inning arms, but he's effective and should rack up Holds.
