The Streamer Report provides you with daily streaming starting pitcher selections everyday for those who like to stream starting pitchers in their fantasy leagues. The report will identify starting pitchers who are owned in less than 50% of ESPN leagues, and who have a decent track record vs their opponent.
Before I get to Monday's streamers, here is how my selections for Saturday's games fared:
Phil Hughes vs A's - 8 IP, 4 H, 0 ER, 2 BB, 9 K, W
Combined stats: 9.1 IP, 10 H, 5 ER, 6 BB, 11 K, W, 4.95 ERA, 1.76 WHIP
Hopefully, I can offer better streamer selections for Monday's games:
Arroyo is owned in 6.1% of ESPN leagues, and gets to face the Braves at Great American Ball Park on Monday night. Arroyo is 6-3 in 15 career starts vs the Braves, but owns an ERA over 5.00 and a WHIP of 1.66, so he has been hit around in the past, but faces a Braves lineup that swings and misses quite a bit so far in 2013.
Cashner is owned in just 6.3% of ESPN leagues, but gets the AAA Marlins lineup on Monday night at Petco Park. Cashner has made just 3 starts this season, and is showing some ground ball tendencies, as he has induced double digit ground ball outs in his last two starts.
Feldman dominated the Padres in his las start, striking out 12 and allowing 2 runs in a complete game win. He has given up two runs or less in each of his last four starts, so I am going to ride the hot streak with Feldman pitching at home.
