The Streamer Report provides you with daily starting pitcher streaming options for Sunday's games. The report will identify starting pitchers who are owned in less than 50% of ESPN leagues, and who have a decent track record vs their opponent.
Before I get to Sunday's streamer options, here is how Friday's selections performed:
Wei-Yin Chen vs A's - 8 IP, 2 hits, 0 ER, 2 BB, 5 K, W
Combined stats: 29 IP, 17 hits, 5 ER, 4 BB, 19 K, 3 Wins, 1.55 ERA, 0.72 WHIP
Here are Sunday's streamer selections:
You have to ride Villanueva while he is pitching well. Villanueva has put up four quality starts in a row and is looking for his second win on Sunday.
Colon is owned in just 14.7% of ESPN leagues, but that number should be higher, as he has given up 3 runs or less in all four of his starts this season. In 15 career starts vs the Orioles, Colon is 5-7 with a 3.33 ERA and 1.284 WHIP. He has been even better In his 21 career starts in Oakland, he is 10-7 with a 3.18 ERA and 1.037 WHIP.
Nolasco will be facing Villanueva, so I am double dipping again, but both teams are struggling to score runs, so I see Nolasco pitching well on Sunday. In 8 career appearances vs the Cubs, Nolasco is 4-2 with a 2.85 ERA and 1.183 WHIP.
Hughes is owned in just 17.4% of ESPN leagues, and after two rough starts has thrown up two quality starts in a row. Of concern is the 5 home runs he has given up in just 21 innings of work. If he can limit the damage of the long ball vs the Blue Jays power hitters, he should fare well on Sunday. In 70 career appearances at Yankee Stadium, 46 of them starts, Hughes owns a 27-12 record with a 4.47 ERA and 1.302 WHIP.
