Curtis Granderson Out 10 Weeks with Forearm Fracture

Derick E. Hingle-USA TODAY Sports

Yankees outfielder Curtis Granderson will miss 10 weeks due to a broken forearm suffered in today's spring training game vs the Blue Jays.

I just saw this news on Twitter from Jack Curry:

This will obviously impact his ranking for 2013. I will have more on this later, but this is a huge blow to the Yankees lineup with Alex Rodriguez out till the All Star break and Derek Jeter returning from a serious ankle injury. Teams with extra outfielders will be calling Yankees GM Brian Cashman looking to take advantage of the injury. I can't see the Yankees going with Juan Rivera as their everyday left fielder. This could lead to more playing time for Eduardo Nunez, as he has played some outfield in the past.

Could the Yankees look to make a deal for former Yankee Alfonso Soriano to fill in while Granderson is out? It would make sense.
