If you're looking to have a potent threat on your team from the SF position, you better hurry up because the quality will significantly diminish the more you wait.
1. LeBron James - Miami Heat
I've seen a lot of people saying Kevin Durant will eclipse LeBron this year. As you can see, I am not one of those people. LeBron will continue to reign supreme. Don't pass on him.
2. Kevin Durant - Oklahoma City Thunder
The heir to the throne. Durant is awesome, no words are necessary.
3. Carmelo Anthony - New York Knicks
Carmelo set a career best in points per game last season with 28.7. If you miss out on LeBron and Durant, Carmelo is the next best thing.
4. Josh Smith - Detroit Pistons
New home, same player. Josh Smith is a fantasy basketball machine.
5. Nicolas Batum - Portland Trail Blazers
Batum has a sweet stroke and can light it up from 3 point land on any given night. He was given more responsibility than ever last season and is developing into a very potent force on the offensive side of the court. I expect Batum to blossom some more this season and really open up some eyes.
6. Rudy Gay - Toronto Raptors
Rudy Gay is a fantasy force because of his ability to score 20+ points per game and pitch in a little bit in every other category.
7. Kawhi Leonard - San Antonio Spurs
The future is now for the San Antonio Spurs and Kawhi Leonard is at the center of it all. He is a dynamic player that should have every opportunity in the world to break out as a consistent contributor on both sides of the court. Leonard will help your team in steals, blocks, rebounds and points.
8. Luol Deng - Chicago Bulls
Deng is a workhorse. He barely takes a breather and is very consistent. You know what you're gonna get from Deng every year and he will be a solid contributor in several categories.
9. Ersan Ilyasova - Milwaukee Bucks
Ersan's double-double tendencies and 3-point contributions warrants a spot in the top 10.
10. Paul Pierce - Brooklyn Nets
There's no doubt he's old and at 36 he's bound to slow down at least a little. Furthermore, he's now got Deron Williams, Joe Johnson and Brook Lopez, along with KG and Jason Terry that need to see their fair share of shots. I still think Pierce will get his and his all-around play will be an asset for any team.
11. Thaddeus Young - Philadelphia 76ers
Thaddeus Young is extremely versatile and pretty underrated too. Make sure you don't sleep on Thaddeus, he can help your team in more ways than one. He set career highs in points and rebounds last year and is extremely efficient.
12. Jeff Green - Boston Celtics
Someone's gotta pick up the slack in Boston and Jeff Green blew up at the end of last season. Look for him to continue that play.
13. Chandler Parsons - Houston Rockets
The University of Florida graduate had a breakout sophomore season averaging 15.5 points, 3.5 assists, 5.3 rebounds, 2 3-pointers made, and 49% from the field. Look for him to build off that season and establish himself as one of the better swingmen in the NBA.
14. Danny Granger - Indiana Pacers
When 100% healthy, Granger is a top 10 SF. He simply hasn't been healthy in quite some time.
15. Gerald Wallace - Boston Celtics
I expect Gerald to bounce back from his dreadful previous season. He's got a new home and will be heavily relied upon amongst a very young Celtics team.
16. Danilo Gallinari - Denver Nuggets
Gallinari is a sharp shooter and when his shot is off, he's of no use to you. He'll average around 16 points and 5 rebounds a game, helping your team in the 3-point category.
17. Tobias Harris - Orlando Magic
Tobias came out of nowhere last season and became one of Orlando's top scorers. He arrived mid-season from Milwaukee in the J.J. Reddick trade. He did not do much of anything while with Milwaukee so no one really expected to see Tobias burst onto the scene like he did. He finished the season with Orlando averaging 17.3 points per game and 8.5 rebounds. I'm skeptical about whether this was a fluke or if this what we should come to expect from him.
18. Harrison Barnes - Golden State Warriors
Barnes really blossomed in the playoffs for Golden State and I expect him to build off of that and put together a very good season.
19. Maurice Harkless - Orlando Magic
The rookie from St. John's showed us late in the season why the Magic took him 15th overall in the draft. He has the chance to build off his late season burst and could turn into a double-double machine.
20. Otto Porter Jr. - Washington Wizards
I was going to put Wilson Chandler here, but he's injured way too often to warrant a spot in the top 20. Otto has massive potential and if reached, will be a fantasy menace. He has the potential to do everything -- score, rebound, assist, steal, good FG% and a couple 3's a game. Playing alongside the shoot-happy duo of Bradley Beal and John Wall could hinder his stats in the beginning, but I think Otto can make a name for himself in his rookie campaign.
