After an ominous start to this season for my fantasy football team, where in week 2 my leading scorer was the kicker with 18 points, week 3 is the week that things finally started to go my way (Finally!).
First we have the Chicago DST coming up big for me with 2 interceptions, 6 sacks, a defensive touchdown, and allowing only 6 points against the St. Louis Rams. In total they gave me 23 points (Standard scoring system)
Giving an even better performance was Maurice Jones-Drew who scored over 25 points off of 177 rushing yards, 1 rushing touchdown, and 16 receiving yards against the Colts. AP gave a solid performance but nothing special with 86 rushing, 21 receiving and no touchdown, totaling about 10 points.
All my other starters also gave a solid performance with the exception of Antonio gates, who seems to still be affected by a rib injury that caused him to sit week 2. I'm going to need to pick up a better backup for him off the waivers, as Dallas Clark posted a hefty 0.00 points in today's loss against the Cowboys. I did however make a bad call giving Michael Crabtree the start over Lance More, who posted 70 receiving yards and 1 touchdown for 13 points, compared to Crabtree's 40 receiving yards and 0 touchdowns for only 4 points.
Now I just need Aaron Rodgers to whip the Seattle Seahawks tomorrow night to complete my victory over the currently ranked #1 team in my league.
Lets go Packers!
