THE FUTURE OF FANTASY
When discussing fantasy breakout players, one needs to understand what exactly is a breakout player. A player who goes from average to full-fledged fantasy football star. Cowboys WR Miles Austin, for instance, was a breakout star in 2009. The 3 players I have selected for this year are guys who will dominate for years to come
Ryan Matthews RB Chargers
First of all he has everything working in his favor, touchdown vulture Mike Tolbert has finally departed leaving Mr. Matthews all by himself. Matthews and Tolbert combined for a total of 2469 total yards and 16 total touchdowns while averaging 4.9 y.p.c. So far in OTA’S Matthews has shown up in the best shape of his life wanting to carry the load. Teammate Jacob Hester went as far as saying he looks like Arnold without his shirt on. Ryan Matthews will finish number 1 this year, and there is nothing the fantasy world can do about it.
Dez Bryant WR Cowboys
Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde, that sums up the season that Dez Bryant had. He had 931 yards and 9 touchdowns playing half of each game. He has Cris Carter hands, with the body of T.O. Executive V.P. Stephen Jones expects Dez Bryant to become the number 1 receiver in Dallas. Also putting in all the work in the offseason to build a rapport with Tony Romo If the flashes of greatness we all witnessed last year come together the rest of the N.F.L. is in trouble.
A.J. Green WR Bengals
Wow is the first thing that comes to mind, as a rookie Green completed only 57% of his catches for 1219 yards and 7 touchdowns. Dalton targeted Green 116 times, and in their second year that is going up. Green has to much talent and is in the right opportunity too not succeed.
