So Friedrich kinda comes out of nowhere to get a decent start in the minors this year and pitch two fairly crazy games at SD and SanFran (total 13 IP/17 k's). The Padres and Giants are both weak hitting clubs vs. LHP and now Friedrich faces the Mariners at home in Coors this weekend. The Mariners appear to stack up against LHP similar to the Giants and haven't been hitting well lately against hardly anyone. Seager has been scuffling and Carp is still a ways away from getting back into form. I picked up Friedrich off the waiver wire (12 team mixed roto) and am considering throwing him into my active lineup as he squares off against Jason Vargas Saturday. What's the chances he throws a quality start vs. blowing up? Also, what are the chances Friedrich is a viable starting pitcher for the foreseeable future (until the AS break) in a 5x5, 12 team mixed roto league?
