March Madness might just be the most popular fantasy sport in America. USA Today estimated this year that more than 100 million people will fill out a tournament bracket before the round of 64 starts, a staggering number indeed. It's easy to see why - you can make your picks in 5 minutes, and no follow-up is needed. Since there are so many possible outcomes (one site I found said that there are over 9 quintillion ways to fill out a bracket), even the most-informed expert is ill-equipped to pick every game right. Truly, it seems that the person who never watches basketball and picks the winners based on team mascot has just as much of a chance of picking the perfect bracket. Who can resist that?
Certainly not you. After all, you're probably here for coverage of fantasy baseball, basketball, hockey, football, or UFC, all of which require more commitment than picking 63 winners. Why not join the Fake Teams Bracket Challenge on Yahoo? The password, should you be prompted, is faketeams. After you enter, come back and share your picks and tips with others here in the comment section. I look forward to beating all of you.
