Do I make this deal
I have been Offered Roy Halladay for Yu Darvish, and Randell Delgado. This is a Dynasty league and I am built to win now, and later. Roy is getting old, and Yu would have a ML contract, and when he isn;t starting I could hide him in my minors. Am I crazy to pass up on Halladay?
This is a points based league, Halladay has a 1 year contract and I would have to use 1 of my 3 resign contracts on him.

whoa
if you are built to win now, you deal Yu and Delgado for Halladay.

why do you think he should not deal for Halladay? is there an injury we haven’t heard about?

Poll
My suspicion is that a couple people read the poll wrong. No one in there right mind would pass on Halladay.

Is a Dynasty League
1 year league, or simple keeper league I make the deal every day of the week, but is a dynasty league, Roy is old, and Yu is young, should be good, and I would be able to hide him in my minors when he’s not starting for the next 3 years. Is my draw back on the situation.
I say counter with Yu for Halladay straight up
And worst case scenario you have to throw in Delgado afterwards

I TOOK THE DEAL
I countered with Yu Darvish and the 21st pick in the rookie draft for Halladay and Charlie Furbush who has a Minor league contract and I can hide in my minors, and hope he has some value in SEA. Thoughts?
Thanks everyone for your feedback.

I like it
Halladay has proven to be one of the top pitchers, if not the top pitcher, in baseball over the last several years, and shows no signs of slowing, even though he is 34. He has negligible injury history, and isn’t an overpowering hurler, so age will have less of an effect on him than on a pure power pitcher. Darvish is still an unproven commodity, whose ABSOLUTE ceiling is what Halladay already is. Hard to go wrong there. I also like Furbush as a deep sleeper, he put up some very nice numbers over his past two minor league seasons, even though he didn’t impress too much in the majors last year. Pitching in Seattle can only help, and he should improve enough to at least be a decent innings-eater.
Agreed
Thanks for the back-up, I’m a SEA fan, and I like Furbush’s upside as a decent starter at least since he is in SEA, and I can hide him in my minors, not taking up an MLB roster spot. I also traded Delgado, and Henderson Alverez for Ryan Madson after to help my closer situation. They have a lot of value in this league.

i would've
dealt Delgado and kept the 21st pick, but that’s just me. You definitely did the right thing in acquiring Halladay.
