Keith Law's Top 100 Prospects Best Lineup
I saw someone post a best prospects lineup in the comment section of Kevin Goldstein's Top 101 prospects last Monday, so here is my shot at the 2012 Best Prospects Lineup based on Keith Law's Top 100 Prospects for 2012:
C-Travis d'Arnaud, TOR
1B-Anthony Rizzo, CHC
2B-Billy Hamilton, CIN*
SS- Manny Machado, BAL
3B-Anthony Rendon, WAS
OF-Mike Trout, LAA
OF-Bryce Harper, WAS
OF-Wil Myers, KC
DH-Jesus Montero, SEA
RHP-Shelby Miller, STL
LHP-Matt Moore, TB
And to round out the starting rotation for Keith's lineup:
RHP-Gerrit Cole, PIT
RHP-Dylan Bundy, BAL
RHP-Arodys Vizcaino, ATL
Some comments after the jump:
- I had to push Reds shortstop prospect Billy Hamilton to second base as Law had no second base prospects in his Top 100 Prospect Rankings.
- Royals outfield prospect Wil Myers barely beat out teammate Bubba Starling for the last outfield spot in the lineup, as Law ranking him two spots ahead of Starling at 13.
- Nationals third base prospect Anthony Rendon, at #17, was ranked 9 spots ahead of Rockies third base prospect Nolan Arenado and 11 spots ahead of Twins third base prospect Miguel Sano.
- Law's Top 100 list is certainly pitcher heavy as he ranked 26 pitchers in his Top 50 prospects for 2012.

If they get 2-3 runs with Moore pitching, I don’t think the Astros have much of a chance 4 times out of 5.
Don't trade Grabbo
I think
if this team could beat the Astros, these players would be in the majors.

He makes a good point though.
Matt Moore IS ready for the majors. The Astros would have a hard time scoring on Matt Moore.
