Pick 2 Pitchers Please
Hello everyone,
I'm trying to set my rotation heading into this season and I have 4 options to choose from to select my final 2 arms.
Here are the choices...
Tim Hudson was a no-brainer until I found out he had back surgery that might keep him out for the 1st month of the season. Furthermore, I'm not sure how this surgery will impact his stuff/performance. Matt Harrison is a guy that I expected to fail, but never did. He pitched well all season long, showed good stuff, and is very young. My concern is that he pitches in Texas (although he has good gb rates and low hr rate), and doesn't get as many Ks as he should based on his arsenal. Jake Peavy and Erik Bedard are twins as far as I'm concerned as both represent high risk and high reward.
If you were in my position, which 2 would you select? FYI, 5x5 Roto Keeper League.
Thanks all!

Tim Hudson is far ahead of those other guys
that he’s still a no-brainer in my mind. I would probably rank the others Harrison, Bedard, Peavy, unless you believe in Bedard’s ability to stay healthy.
Harrison is going to be fine for the reason you stated – a high ground ball rate is going to play well in front of Texas’ solid infield defense. Peavy’s strikeout rate is higher than Harrison’s, but will that matter with the amount of innings he’s going to give you?
If you don’t mind playing with fire, go for Bedard. If you’re risk-averse like me, I’d say Harrison.
