It is week 6 and I am currently riding on a 3 game win streak after an ominous 0-2 start to the season, and being ranked last in my league. Now I'm currently ranked 3rd overall, 2nd in points scored, so I am feeling a lot better about naming my fantasy team "I'll Win This League." For now that is.
The problem I am facing now is that this week two crucial pieces to my puzzle are on bye this week. RB Maurice Jones-Drew, and Chicago DST. To replace Jones-Drew I was hoping to just find a solid contributor that at least gives around 6-8 points. But Chicago DST has scored 23. 24. and 28 points, respectively, in the past 3 weeks and I highly doubt that I will be able to pick up a DST off the waivers that will be able to make up for that.
What I am thinking about doing is to pick up Atlanta DST, mostly because they play the Oakland Raiders this week, and hope that they have a field day and come up with plenty of sacks, turnovers and maybe a DTD too. But at RB I am pretty clueless as to who I should pick up. Last week a picked up Jackie Battle specifically to use him as Jones-Drew's replacement this week, but it turns out Ryan Mathews has reemerged as the primary go-to back over in San Diego so Battle won't be seeing hardly any touches at all this week.
I'm so desperate it looks like I'm going to have to pick up Jouique Bell (Detroit) to replace Jones-Drew this week, but I am wondering if Danny Woodhead (NE) or Brandon Bolden(NE), who are gearing up to play against Seattle's stiff run defense this week, would be more likely to give me a better performance?
