SB Nation and XFINITY are teaming up in The Extra Point Poll series where we will pick two players at the same position and ask you who will have the better fantasy week. Last week we asked you which wide receiver would have the most receiving yards, Brandon Marshall or Calvin Johnson. Johnson struggled against the tough Chicago Bears defense on Monday night catching just 3 passes for 34 yards and no touchdowns. He has disappointed fantasy owners this season as he has 38 receptions for 592 yards, but just one touchdown. Marshall on the other hand caught 6 passes for 81 yards and a score on Monday night. Thus far in 2012, Marshall, a favorite of quarterback Jay Cutler, has caught 41 passes for 577 yards and four touchdowns.
In this week's Extra Point Poll presented by XFINITY, we will take a look at two quarterbacks who are going up against two defenses who are prone to giving up fantasy points to opposing quarterbacks: Ben Roethlisberger and Peyton Manning. Roethlisberger is home to face the porous Washington Redskins defense on Sunday afternoon. The Redskins defense is giving up more than 20 points per game to opposing quarterbacks this season. Manning is also at home on Sunday Night Football to take on the New Orleans Saints. The Saints defense have given up the sixth most fantasy points to opposing quarterback this season, just under 20 points per game.
Which quarterback will have the most passing yards in Week 8: Ben Roethlisberger or Peyton Manning?
