Fantasy Football: Jones-Drew Out for Multiple Weeks

From 0-2 to 5-2, I am riding a 5 game win streak and worked my way from dead last in my league all the way up to being tied for first place with the team I lost against in week one.

I thought all was well until I checked my roster Sunday evening to find that Jones-Drew was out for the remainder of the game. Luckily I was still able to sneak away with a W even though he was only able to contribute 6 rushing yards before leaving the game. Once I saw that Jones-Drew would be out for an extended period of time i immediately went to the waivers to put a claim on Rashad Jennings, but sadly I wasn't able to get a hold of him because I'm tenth on the waivers.

Now heading into the home stretch of the season I face a serious problem, which I fear will soon put an end to my win streak and ultimately my bid to come out on top of my league with bragging rights for the next year. The other teams in my league have done a pretty good job of sniffing out any remotely talented RB that's worth giving the start to, so I may be forced to take an approach that involved me swapping out a RB each week, depending on performance. Right now I had no choice but to pick up Pierre Thomas, as he looked like the best option. I previously picked up Jackie Battle but he was a bust, and Brandon Bolden no longer looks as promising as he did a couple weeks back. But I also picked up Danny Woodhead, who I passed up on a couple weeks back when Jones-Drew was on bye, and he appears to be a bit more consistent than Thomas.

Most likely I'm going to give Woodhead the start for now, but keep an eye on Thomas and the waivers for any other possible options.

In other news, I have been sitting Antonio Gates for the past few weeks and starting Heath Miller in his place, Miller has out scored Gates in all those weeks with the exception of two weeks ago when Gates finally had his breakout game, scoring 20 fantasy points. Gates is now coming off a bye week and I'm going to have to decide if starting Gates, who will play against Cleveland's defense, or Miller, who will play against the Redskin's defense, is the better choice. While both are inconsistent, I am leaning towards Miller, who is slightly less inconsistent than Gates.
